How Skill Grader works

From a short video to an A to E grade, in six steps.

  1. You film the skill. A short side-on video on the iPad.
  2. The body is mapped. Computer vision places 33 points on the body in every frame. No markers, no sensors, no facial recognition.
  3. Biomechanics are measured. The skill is split into phases and each metric is measured: joint angles, timing, ratios.
  4. Benchmarks are applied. Each metric is scored against age-adaptive benchmarks, normalised for body size, then weighted.
  5. Performance is graded. An A to E grade with a full metric breakdown.
  6. Results are saved. Feedback and insights are generated and the result goes to the gradebook.

The video is processed on the device and deleted. Only the skeleton data, the metrics and the grade are kept.

Thanks for the feedback.
